Structured settlement broker Thomas Dunlap, of Minnetonka Minnesota, continues to maintain a flabbergasting level of credential puffery when comes to the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant designation. Dunlap claims that a 4 day industry certification course offered by the National Structured Settlements Trade Association and hosted on the campus of the University of Notre Dame for a cost of a couple of thousand bucks was part of the Executive MBA program at University of Notre Dame.
To wit... (as of January 3, 2011)
"Tom earned his designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant through the Executive MBA program at the University of Notre Dame. He is a Certified Structured Settlements Consultant and is involved in numerous other associations and organizations in the settlement field".

What does it say about a professional's credibilty and ethics when his professional credentials are so shamelessly misrepresented?
The Structured Settlement Watchdog®, John Darer®, has been fighting credential puffery in the structured settlements industry since October 2007. There's nothing that inspires him to "regurgitate his kibble" over the subject more than this nonsense. See 4 days in the vicinity of "Touchdown Jesus" DOES NOT make you one of " The Fighting Irish"!
