A Las Vegas notary public advertises their services by giving off the impression that they actually notarize annuity contracts for structured funding. I have created the meme below from an image that appeared on their website for this commentary.
What is Structured Settlement Funding?
Funding is a term used by structured settlement factoring companies to describe the financial consideration paid to a structured settlement payee in exchange for the rights to certain structured settlement payments. The transaction is known a structured settlement factoring transaction and its definition is set forth in Section 5891 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
On the other hand...
Annuity contracts are issued by insurance companies and sold to consumers by licensed and appointed insurance agents or brokers. A mobile or onsite notary does not notarize annuities issued by any of the structured settlement annuity contracts I've seen over the last 27 years. Hmm!
