John Darer Reviews AnnuityFreedom.Net (*a/k/a Annuity Payment Freedom")
Until June 21, 2023 San Francisco lawyer Jovan Johnson was billboarding structured settlement brokerage firms and structured settlement consultants affiliated with those entities and appeared to be using the names of these entities' and associated individuals' and their information, to generate leads for structured settlement factoring, for which Johnson appears to earn a fee (from other factoring companies)
The vessel on which Johnson executes this business model is Annuity Freedom (.Net) Each listing for a structured settlement broker or company is optimized for local search including a Google map. At time of posting of this blog, the caption under most of the Google maps using the names of the brokers and companies had purported links to both current as well as bankrupt structured settlement factoring companies (one of whose owner is serving a 25 year prison sentence). The links circle back to the Annuity Payment Freedom site.
When this post was first published in April 2023, we noted that "Arcadia", as a word mark, is a Registered Trademark of Arcadia Settlements Group (Reg. 5313027) with an effective date of October 17, 2017 and that the word mark "Arcadia Settlements Group", which is also a Registered Trademark (Reg.5473774), is listed in each instance where one of its employees was listed on Jovan Johnson's Annuity Payment Freedom.
Jovan Johnson Admits Bias
Here's what Johnson's website says:
"As you can see, we are a bit biased and believe that we are the factoring company that best serves the needs of customers" Source: Annuity Payment Freedom site.
Annuity Payment Freedom "Circles Back" More than a former White House Press Secretary
Listing for a structured settlement broker included a purported link to what any reasonable person would interpret to mean the broker's website. Instead, with few exceptions, the link just goes back to Annuity Payment Freedom. In the latter cases it's useless to the consumer.
Johnson's Cited Sources
Johnson cites the list of annuity brokers on the Department of Justice website as well as link to a specific page on the National Structured Settlemenst Trade Association referring to professional designations associated with NSSTA, however, it is clear that information was gleaned from the uncited structured settlement websites that Johnson is billboarding in his scheme to generate structured settlement factoring leads.

Want to Cash Out Your Annuity?
"I am providing AnnuityFreedom.net and its group of companies with express written consent to contact me regarding product offerings by SMS/text messages or by using an auto dialer (or automated means) at the phone number(s) provided and such consent is not a condition of a purchase".
What About Chocolate Chip Cookies?
The dude likes chocolate chip cookies. Who doesn't? But rather than letting Annuity Payment Freedom or any other similar company's hand into your structured settlement "cookie jar" for a return of pennies on the dollar, for only $2.20 (Source: Instacart) you can buy your own Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookie mix and make your own batch, while keeping your guaranteed stable income tax-free structured settlement intact. Now that smells pretty good doesn't it?

Postscript
As of June 21, 2023, AnnuityFreedom.Net (a/k/a Annuity Payment Freedom) and a sister site Paymaster.co no longer display the names of structured settlement brokerage firms and individual structured settlement brokers, including state extensions, after Johnson was contacted by representatives of a number of structured settlements and settlement planning firms.
