The Washington Post Headline on October 10, 2016 read "Dozens of suspicious court cases, with missing defendants, aim at getting web pages taken down or deindexed. Here is the relevant excerpt from that article:
"Smith’s lawyer passed along a contract that Smith’s company, Rescue One Financial, signed with a company called “RIR 1984 LLC,” headed by one Richart Ruddie. RIR was to be paid $6,000 per month to apply its “proprietary de-indexing program” so that “negative posts from Steve Rhodes [sic]” “will be de-indexed using our proprietary methods.” The contract was aimed in part at “insulating against negative Google search results,” specifically by “remov[ing]” “Steve Rhodes [sic] articles.”
RIR1984 LLC Dissolved 2 Days After Scathing Washington Post Article
Two days after the scathing Washington Post article was published RIR1984 LLC was dissolved October 12, 2016** according to public records with the Florida Secretary of State. The records reveal that Ryan Blank, an Owings Mills high school mate of Richart Ruddie's is listed as a co-member of RIR1984 LLC Download RIR1984 Ruddie and Blank FL LLC
On November 22, 2016 the following was published by The Public Citizen Law Group’s Paul Alan Levy in an article entitled “Richart Ruddie Companies Sent Forged Papers to Rhode Island Federal Court” wrote:
"Last week, I appeared before Chief Judge William Smith, who, in addition to granting the blogger’s motion for leave to intervene, expressed chagrin at having been duped into signing the “consent order” and raised the possibility that the filing of forged papers violated various criminal statutes; he indicated that he was going to ask the United States Attorney for the District of Rhode Island to investigate.
While I was at the courthouse in Providence, I had the chance to talk to the clerk’s office and learned the identity of the process service that brought the forged litigation papers to court. The process server, in turn, when informed that he had filed forged papers, had no compunction about identifying the company which in turn had provided those papers and the company on whose account the check to pay the filing fee had been written. The check was from RIR1984 LLC, the very company with which Rescue One Financial had contracted for services to get Steve Rhode’s critical web pages removed from search engine indexes. The individual signer for RIR1984 on the contract is Richart Ruddie, who, as Eugene Volokh and I reported last month, is apparently responsible for dozens of fake lawsuits around the country. And the go-between was “Annuity Sold,” a company with which Richart Ruddie himself has self-identified".
Following is part of an email entered into the Court record in one of the Richart Ruddie company cases alleged to be phony, in Rhode Island. What we are looking at is an email from Gerald Feinstein of Annuity Sold to the process server to CW Process of Valley Village California.
The lines continue to blur with Ruddie, Blank and their various operations and there is no reason that the investigation should not continue for the integrity of the industry.
