Adam Shapiro is the President of "cash now pusher" Stone Street Capital. It is evident from his post "Little Known Facts" on the Stone Street Capital blog that (1) Adam Shapiro either knows little of the facts, or (2) the leadership of Stone Street Capital condones false advertising.
Those "in the know", or not apparently trying to deceive the public, don't mischaracterize what is already defined in the tax code*
Having bit into the forbidden apple with this "worm" for the apparent purpose of key word manipulation, Adam Shapiro can neither claim that he nor his company is in the "Garden Of Eden".
The joke is on Adam Shapiro and Stone Street Capital for promoting "Stone Street Capital Blog: (AS) An educational, information exchange for the entire structured settlement industry".
* A structured settlement factoring transaction describes a process, defined at IRC 5891(c)(3)(A), which results in the transfer of structured settlement payment rights for a discounted amount of cash. Don't believe the marketing hype! A structured settlement factoring transaction IS NOT a structured settlement transaction.
On the other hand a structured settlement transaction describes the transaction embodied in the structured settlement process which results in a structured settlement. Unless the structured settlement takes the form of a Treasury Funded Structured Settlements, part of a structured settlement transaction involves the placement of a structured settlement annuity contract. Placement of a structured settlement annuity requires an insurance license. Does Stone Street Capital have an insurance license or possess an appointment with any structured settlement company?
