Old Bay Capital, LLC , the new belle of the Maryland settlement purchasing ball, has opened its doors.
Maryland structured settlement factoring reforms, enacted after the Access Funding scam of Baltimore City lead paint victims with structured settlements came to light in 2015, mean registrants must fork over a $3,000 fee to the State of Maryland, post a $100,000 bond and satisfactory performance of the necessary back flips and cartwheels.
This post previously reported that the official government record shows a phone number that is an out of service Pratt & Whitney message at 561-796-5626. Following the original posting, I have received communication from the Maryland structured settlement administrator admitting Maryland's error, that the '9" should have been a "0" and that the correct number for Old Bay Capital is 561-706-5626. I called and verified that number as correct this morning. In emphasizing that it was solely the State of Maryland's error, the structured settlement registration administrator said that Old Bay Capital had the corrected phone number on its application.
Old Bay Capital lists an address in CT but is not registered with the Secretary of State there. A company representative who answered the phone today said Old Bay doesn't have an office yet.
