Comprehensive settlement planning isn't always the perfect fairy tale. Apparently all that's gold did not glitter for a settlement planner's client who could not not "bear" the "liquidity features" of gold and purportedly showed up at the home of the settlement planner at night seeking money back, threatening to break both the settlement planner's legs. The settlement planner however, WAS seen walking on both legs last week.
Warren Buffett once said: “Gold gets dug out of the ground in Africa, or someplace. Then we melt it down, dig another hole, bury it again and pay people to stand around guarding it. It has no utility. Anyone watching from Mars would be scratching their head.”
Buffet further opined "it’s a lot better to have a goose that keeps laying eggs than a goose that just sits there and eats insurance and storage and a few things like that."
