Liberty Settlement Funding Predatory Lump Sum Ads | Take the Next Ship

Liberty Settlement Funding has gone over the top with a "Statue of Liberty play" targeting immigrants with predatory ads showing Russian and Hispanic immigrant families on a vintage ferry approaching Ellis Island in New York Bay, interposing images of the Statue of Liberty and the logo of Liberty Settlement Funding and their toll free number. Liberty Settlement Funding predatory tag line is " Don't miss the boat!" as if the ability to sell your structured settlement payments for a discount is a 'deal" that is going to go away. Trust me, it isn't.

Don't Support dishonest advertising by members of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers

In my opinion the best advice is to avoid a potential financial "shipwreck" induced  by such dishonest advertising.   A sale of structured settlement payment rights should not be a rushed decision. Question the motives of anyone or any company that tells you otherwise. Liberty Settlement Funding pairs similar messages of "don't miss the boat" message with "why wait...", ample indication of Liberty Settlement Funding's true motive (and the way it makes money)

FACT: You can miss the Liberty Settlement Funding "boat" and may very well get a better deal somewhere else by shopping around. 

In any case you if you have no other alternative but to sell structured settlement payment rights to raise cash, shop around. Get quotes from several companies, knowing that some companies never give you their best offer up front. Seek independent professional advice even if not required by your state.

  • New York Insurance Advertising law requires the full name of the Insurer to be listed along with the city and state of the principal office. Stating that you represent these fine companies using Insurance company logos without the preceding information are also illegal
