Who does the social media at Stone Street Capital? A July 23, 2015 tweet shows a fanned out wad of cash (below), featuring a "Ben Franklin" on top and the rest, a wad full of "George". Talk about a "padded bra!" An unwitting metaphor on so many levels.
Does the positioning of the Ben Franklin represent what you REALLY get when you sell your structured settlement? Looks can be deceiving. That large lump sum or big lump sum is not as big as it first seems when you get a hold of it.
The Stone Street Capital tweet unwittingly plays into the irony, "This can be you, and FAST!" Ain't that the truth? You can get a lump sum that is bigger than the amount of your monthly payment today but in the long run you will get less, much less.
In entering into a relationship with any structured settlement buyer, always "look below the surface" because, relatively speaking, what looks like a dollar could turn out to be a wooden nickel.
