Add Greenspring Funding to the list of cash now pushers which completely mislead American consumers that they "may qualify to receive all of your cash upfront" if they sell structured settlement payments to the company.
The reason why what Greenspring Funding says is completely misleading is that if you sell your structured settlement payments to Greenspring Funding you will NEVER get ALL your cash front.
If you sell your structured settlement payments you will only get a fraction of the present value of your structured settlement payments. You will not get the future value of your payments. The amount you get is dependent on the effective discount rate.
Who is Greenspring Funding?
Thanks to the Ryan Blank Prezi account which I mentioned the other day in reference to the Court Scrape expose and Google and Yahoo we found mention of " JRR and Greenspring" in the same search result. We discovered that there are two lines of Sugar CRM javascript that include "jrrfunding.sugarondemand.com"
It doesn't matter whether you sell it to Greenspring Funding, Einstein Structured Settlements or Edison Funding, or any other website or brand associated with Ryan Blank and Richart Ruddie and their company JRR Funding, or any other company that purports to be a factoring company, you will never get all of our money upfront. You will always get a discounted lump sum.
Greenspring Funding also makes unsubstantiated claims that it is the fastest funder in the structured settlement industry and can get you the most cash. There are many companies who make that claim in one form or another. It would be difficult if not impossible to justify.
The website for Greenspring Funding lists an office address of 3250 M Street Suite A in the Washington DC neighborhood of Georgetown. A Google Map search for that address however shows an H&M store at 3248 and another store at 3252. There is an inconsistency with the Facebook page (whose sole review at time of this posting is by someone who is a Facebook friend of one of Ryan Blank's relatives), which was only updated October 16, 2014 and states an address 1220 L Street Suite 100-167, Washington DC, the same address as Edison Funding posted on its site until around February 1, 2015. It is also the address of the National Building Granite Quarries Association (NBGQA), which I confirmed has nothing to do with JRR Funding or any of the aforementioned.
Interesting to note that both Edison and Greenspring Funding websites display BBB seals that do not click through so that consumers can verify BBB membership.
Our research this evening online shows no such BBB membership. What's up with that? I've already seen enough reason to question trusting any structured settlement website created under the auspices of JRR Funding
