As I approach the end of my 9th year blogging about structured settlements and settlement planning topics, which include my Structured Settlement Watchdog commentary. I have updated the Structured Settlement Watchdog website to help readers better understand why I do what I do with respect to watchdog commentary in this forum.
When I first started doing watchdog commentary, it was something the structured settlement industry had not seen before, particularly the sometimes irreverent style that this blog has become known for when commenting on bad business practices.
It is not comfortable for some to tackle difficult issues related to the industry or their business practices. Some would rather not deal with them. Instead of engaging in debate pubicly or privately. others choose to deal with them by chucking spears while cloaking themselves in layers of what they thought was concealment, while making up salacious material to post online about competitors.
Those people are to be thanked in a way because it resulted in my developing a keen set of forensic skills as a result, which is something of value that I can now happily share with others.
It would be fanciful thinking to expect that everyone who reads my posts agrees with me. I certainly don't. However, I want to get readers thinking about something they should be thinking about, in my opinion, as someone with a wealth of relevant experience and credentials.
I encourage anyone who believes that there is something that has been posted that was inccurate at the time of posting to contact me by email or phone and explain what it is that they believe is inaccurate. The goal is to publish accurate material.
In the next few weeks I will pass the 4,000 post milestone. Your continued readership is appreciated.
