by Structured Settlement Watchdog
This is the second in a three part series in which we share with readers our questions concerning the Academic credentials of names of individuals, real or imaginary, that are stated to be associated with Sovereign Funding Group. [In one case a purported officer of Sovereign Funding Group], a company that arranges for the purchase of structured settlement payment rights.
James Spelling is listed as a "sales manager" and "an individual with 20 years of insurance and structured settlement experience" on the website of structuresettlement-quotes(dot) com. As covered in yesterday's blog, upon information and belief James Spelling is an alias that has been used by David Springer when soliciting business for the owners of structuredsettlement-quotes(dot) com.
Prior to late 2011 that was Andrew Cravenho. Roger Proctor and/or Drubetsky and/or Genex acquired the structuredsettlement-quotes(dot)com platform and other websites such as quotemeaprice(dot)com solidfunding(dot)com that upon information and belief, were developed by Cravenho in or about late 2011. We have information that connects Springer to SSQ into 2012. The platform is hosted by Boris Drubetsky, COO of Genex Capital, from British Columbia, in Canada.
James Spelling is listed on his LinkedIn profile as having been a sales associate at Macys from January 2006-2008 and in Lincoln High school for the 3 years prior to that. If he graduated high school at age 18 (in 2006) then he worked at Macy's until he was about 21 before joining Sovereign Funding if the information is correct, he would have had to have been an infant when he worked for SSQ. James Spelling's LinkedIn profile states he has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Georgetown 2012 and his Google Plus says he is attending Georgetown. Yet we received information yesterday from Georgetown as having no record of student James Spelling attending the University or earning a degree [ the two other James Spelling's on Linkedin are respectively from Sweden and the UK in unrelated fields]
Will Woodbridge Structured Funding, LLC ask Sovereign Funding to produce James Spelling in its litigation against David Springer and Sovereign Funding? [see Woodbridge Structured Funding, LLC Plaintiff v David Springer and Sovereign Funding pending in United States District Court for the District of Maryland 1:11-cv-03421-MJ] The trial is scheduled for between November 11-22, 2013.
