It's getting curiouser and curiouser!
The Better Business Bureau report now lists Sovereign Funding Group's location as "address on file with BBB, Mount Airy, MD".
David Springer and his wife Melissa Stoloff Springer have a residence in Mount Airy, MD. According to the answer to the complaint in Woodbridge Structured Funding v Sovereign Funding Group and David Springer, Springer and Sovereign admitted Springer was a resident of Mt. Airy Maryland. The cached whois records for the sovereignfunding(dot) com website list an address for the company of 4095 Lomar Drive Mount Airy, MD 21044 [source: DomainTools.com]. The zip appears to be a transcription error as the actual zip code for Mount Airy is 21771, according to public records.
In June 2012 the address on the BBB report for Sovereign Funding Group was changed to 451 Hungerford Turnpike in Rockville, MD. On April 3, 2013, in Questions About Sovereign Funding Group, I reported that the Sovereign Funding Group BBB report still listed the same address, which turned out to be a UPS store mail box purchased by David Springer on June 15, 2012. The UPS mailbox address in Rockville, MD had been held out as the address for Sovereign Funding Group from in or about late June 2012. The company's website still lists the UPS Store mailbox address.
According to their June 25, 2012 answer to the complaint in Woodbridge Structured Funding v Sovereign Funding Group and David Springer, David Springer and Sovereign Funding Group stated that Sovereign Funding Group ceased operations.
Subsequent to that however, the Sovereign Funding Group website and other social media websites continued to remain active and appear to be actively soliciting structured settlement annuitants.
As previously reported, Sovereign is still listed as active according to public records with the Secretary of State for Maryland.
On April 15, 2013 we asked Why is Sovereign Funding Papering Over David Springer's Life? after discovering that an old press release was altered to give credit to "James Goldstein" where Springer had been in the original.
Another odd and some what amusing observation is the Sovereign Funding Group Google Plus page which lists a 10430 Fair Oaks Drive address in Columbia, MD and includes a round framed image of a Sovereign Funding Group "lump sum for structured settlement" advertisement posted by Karen Jones, a purported employee of Sovereign Funding, on January 23, 2013. Clicking through on that ad leads you to the Google Plus account of Karen Jones. Karen Jones states on her profile on January 23, 2013 " I mentioned to management that the address is listed on Google incorrectly as a Columbia Maryland address instead of the correct Rockville Maryland address". 3 months late, the address on the Google Plus profile is still the Columbia address.
