American General has released a video that provides prospective structured settlement annuitants with an introduction to American General, which is a subsidiary of AIG. The video features a message from Jonathan Novak, who is President of AIG Life and Retirement, also showing viewers the faces of some of the people that make American General Structured Settlements tick, like Mike Wostoupal, as well as other professionals who I've had the pleasure of working with over the phone during my career in the structured settlement industry.
Structured settlement annuities issued by American General Life Insurance Company are distributed only through appointed agents in all states other than the State of New York. In the State of New York, AIG structured settlement annuities are underwritten by United States Life Insurance Company in the City of New York (US Life).
At the time of posting, the structured annuity rates of both American General and US Life were among the most competitive for lifetime benefits. both companies offer rated age pricing and US Life is one of the few life insurance companies currently writing structured judgment annuities to enable Defendants and/or their insurers insurers to comply with New York CPLR 5032 and CPLR 5042, also known as Articles 50A and 50B
