I have to say that son of "Hartford Life slayer" Dick Risk sure has chutzpah.
Robert Risk clearly has an appreciation for the popularity of our copyrighted content and for whatever reason has chosen to present it without attribution instead of his own content. The website at structuredsettlements.org is registered to Robert Risk according to the Whois record.

Now back to the value proposition of the directory. Risk's directory offers little to a structured settlement broker, in my opinion. Here's why I personally believe this to be true.
Your name and contact information is used to capture Google local search that may end up benefiting the site owner more than you. As seen with a non-independent directory/review section within the the Structured Settlement Quotes SSQ website , there is some potential to cause consumer confusion. In the case of a Google search for "Symetra structured settlement quotes" two results for Structured Settlement Quotes (SSQ) online payment rights bidding platform appear even before a listing that is really Symetra. The same holds true for a search for "Pacific Life structured settlement quotes" and several other company brands. The key take away is (as you can see by following this link Download Symetra structured settlement quotes - Google Search 10-13-2012 and this one Download Pacific life structured settlement quotes - Google Search 10-13-2012 ) that the brands of each of these insurers is usurped in the search engine listings by virtue of having their name in a directory that they (1) may not be aware of (2) may be aware of but not aware of the consequences and/or (3) may not have authorized. The better the SEO for the directory the worse the usurping can be.
In defense of SSQ, I previously reported in July 2012 that it had listed 4 structured settlement brokers in its list of factoring companies. All but one of those companies have been removed from the directory, with their principals having been in contact with SSQ and names removed without any fuss.

In closing it is worth mentioning that the description and meta tags for Risk's website state "free legal advice". Download Google search structured settlement services 10-14-2012.
Who is dispensing that advice?
