Structured settlement annuities are issued by some of the largest publicly traded companies in the United States and Canada. MetLife no longer offers Periodic Payment Assumption Reinsurance. Other companies such as National Indemnity, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway have stepped into the void.
