Structured Settlement Annuities Are A Low Volatility Product Providing a Stable Income
Structured settlements funded with annuities or United States Treasury obligations, structured attorney fees funded with annuities or United States Treasury obligations , structured installment sales, structured celebrity endorsement fees, funding agreements, periodic payment or assumption reinsurance, single premium immediate annuities, secondary market structured settlement payment rights are all zero to low volatility income distribution products that are available.
More than half of consumers do not wanting swings of more that 10% in their retirement portfolio according to a volatility poll conducted online by MetLife. 54% of Consumers do not want to see swings in their retirement portfolio of more than 10%, and one-half of those were only at ease with 5% or less (emphasis ours).
Additional highlights from the MetLife "Volatilty" study:
- 56% of Consumers and 88% of Advisors say that volatility in retirement account balances have a negative impact in feelings of financial security
- 75% of Consumers and 88% Advisors say that they are concerned with volatility even as the markets improve
- Consumers (42%) and Advisors (57%) are interested in products that provide more consistent returns
The poll was conducted online with 1,037 adults age 45+ with $100,000 or more in investable assets and 520 financial advisors from February 7-15, 2011.
