Two "factoring auction" websites, which represent an alternative way of "shopping" again made the top 10 this survey with improved global rankings.
So who is visiting websites that solicit sellers of structured settlement payments?

When it comes to looking at statistics like these some things are obvious. For educational purposes let's take Justin Bieber's fan website as an example. You would expect that he would be one of the most popular in the teeny bopper set right?
According to Alexa his fan site has a greater than average percentage of traffic from a group 18-24 year old females with no college. FYI-Alexa does not appear track under 18s.
How about AARP? Higher than average traffic concentration in 45-54; 55-64 and 65+ cohorts with no kids and some college. No real surprises there. AARP solicits people younger than 65 for membership. I'm way under age 65 and heck, for less than $15 a year I even joined.
I find it interesting to see what we can learn from the information available from Alexa about these structured settlement factoring websites, particularly what attracts people to them, although psychographic studies, if any have been done, have not been published. However a a survey of what I opined was a non statistical sample of J.G. Wenworth customers was the subject of a 4 posts too many analysis in 2008 by my industry colleague Patrick Hindert.
It's remarkable that among the "some college" crowd there is a definite trend towards certain sites by certain age groups. Why do companies like J.G. Wentworth attract the elder crowd online? Is the branding using the J.G. Wentworth opera less appealing to the younger crowd than the morons shouting off balconies. Or is J.G. Wentworth going after the older crowd which increasingly uses online search, and the results show that they indeed may have? Didn't its early ads feature Mr. Wentworth in his Brylcreemed best "barnet" with the tacky 1970s backdrop resonate with those who came of age when that hairstyle was in vogue?
How does a company like Settlement Quotes, LLC with a youthful owner and one of the most consistent internet presences appeal more to the older crowd?
