News is the communication of information on current events which is presented by print, Internet, broadcast or word of mouth to a third party or mass audience according to Wikipedia.
Yet in the age of Twitter, one of my esteemed competitors seems to be in a time warp. Has it not had any news in 3 years? You'd think so judging by its website!
One of the items of news is that the company serves (i.e.in the present tense) September 11th victims. The item posted March 2007 links to a 2004 bulletin put out by the company concerning dealings between survivors and victims of the tragedy and the former Victims Compensation Fund, similar to a number of industry members, including this author.
Another news item is an important Medicare update posted February 2007. How many memos has the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued since then? How about the Medicare Medicaid SCHIP Extension Act ?
C'mon people, it's embarrassing! Update your website a little, time for a spring cleaning!
