LIMRA researchers found that 52 percent of consumers who sought information on individual life insurance, disability coverage, long-term care insurance or annuities made the Internet at least one of their information sources, a nearly 37% increase in 3 years. Another important statistic is that close to 75% of consumers surveyed said they expect to do more of their financial business over the Internet in the next five years.
Although the survey did not specifically mention structured settlements it is rare these days to encounter a plaintiff, plaintiff lawyer lawyer or law firm (including staff) without direct or indirect access to the Internet through a variety of different media.
