In denying a petition to factor structured settlement payments to Peachtree, the Pennsyvania Court of Common ruled April 7, 2009, in the matter of "In Re: Anne G. Jenkins, No. 2090 C-1044 that Peachtree's terms were "unreasonable and unfair" (effective discount rate of 26.33%!) More notably the standard "level of professionalism" from "the leader in the marketplace" was met with Court concerns about:
- Payee's lack of employment
- Lack of established record of employment
- The payee didn't even know the amount of her monthly rent
Already on thin ice for promoting "cash now" and falsely advertising that payees could receive "ALL their money now", shouldn't we be thanking Peachtree Settlement Funding for revealing what they apparently believe constitutes "unparalleled levels of professionalism"? Peachtree Settlement Funding certainly makes it easier to make the case to Federal and state regulators and attorneys general, that structured settlement recipients need greater protection from such
