Is Woodbridge Investments' Bob Shapiro a "factoring industry" voyeur? I say that because for some reason it seems that his company's long telescope is trained on JG Wentworth. Is is it out of jealousy, or something more sinister? Read on and draw your own conclusions.
On this web page Download woodbridge_jealous_jgwentworth_wtf.pdf Woodbridge Investments appears to have designed the content of its web page to rank for the term "JG Wentworth" and implies that there is a connection between the two companies. Note that JG Wentworth is the first name in the title. Woodbridge Investments certainly does a poor job of hiding "the obsession".
Now check the source code for the web page Download woodbridge_meta_tags_5302008_entitled_jgwentworth1marked.pdf Not only is the title of the page "JG Wentworth1", but the meta tags include the names of factoring industry "who's who".
In my opinion, Woodbridge have shown themselves to be slimers. Since entering the factoring space "cash now pusher" Woodbridge has pulled out every trick it can to induce tort victims to part with long term financial security, including offering plasma tvs, luxury cars, video games to gullible and vulnerable tort victims, directly or indirectly used spam comments on other blogs and more. Woodbridge Investments has shown itself to stoop to a level that somehow I don't believe that J.G. Wentworth would stoop to. Through such methods the "cash now pusher" Woodbridge Investments is a company that adds more sludge to the reputation of the factoring industry.
Now the company has the chutzpah and lack of business ethics to repeatedly use another's trademark on its own web page.

Professor Eric Goldman of the High Tech Law Institute at Santa Clara University, provided a detailed analysis of another intra factoring industry case J.G. Wentworth SSC Ltd v. Settlement Funding LLC, No. 06-0597 (E.D. Pa. Jan. 4, 2007) in a January 5, 2007 posting on his Technology and Marketing Law Blog. He states:

Will JG Wentworth will have more luck protecting its trademark than it did against Settlement Funding (Peachtree) in 2007?
