You know the feeling you get when you start hearing "Sleigh Ride" in September? It's like let us at least watch the leaves turn pretty colors first! Well, with Presidential campaigns beginning earlier and earlier to due to heavy emphasis on fund raising I'm getting a similar feeling. Must the public hear campaign rhetoric for 2 years to the point where they will become apathetic at election time?
Today I received my 5th solicitation from the John Edwards 2008 campaign in 4 days. I'm sorry but at this point it feels like spam because John Edwards hasn't answered the questions posed in my letter to him dated March 27, 2007 Download letter_to_john_edwards_032720007_sent_via_johnedwards_2008_website.pdf as well as follow up emails in response to each of the contribution request. I also placed a call to John Edwards' campaign headquarters last week and spoke with someone about my letter and requested a response.
You see I and others in the structured settlement industry would like to know the truth about whether or not Presidential candidate John Edwards (1) ever used and (2) is currently using Forge Consulting, LLC specifically for structured settlements as Forge Consulting's wholesale use of his name implies to Forge Consulting's customers..victims of horrific accidents or negligence (the type of people Presidential candidate John Edwards used to represent), and their lawyers. I don't believe he is!
Do Presidential candidates (1) provide product endorsements; (2) is it appropriate; and (3) if so, do they authorize such endorsements to be used in any manner of solicitation?
I can't imagine Obama doing a Dentyne commercial, McCain doing Coppertone or Hillary doing Texas Toast.
