Its not a good idea to do business with anyone that hides his/her or its true identity on the Internet. You should be able to clearly identify who you are dealing with from the website's home page. You need to know the address in case you need to seek redress. If you don't have the address you need to egress! Could you trust someone who has no address even if a phone number was listed? Such a company in my mind is www.settlementmoneynow.com.
The website lists no address with only means of contact being a toll-free number. I called the 800 number and got a recording that sounded like someone's home answering machine. Let's see if someone actually calls back. On the answering machine message at 630pm EDT today there was no announcement of the name of the company, just a prompt to leave a message. The Whois record shows that the registrar of the domain has chosen to hide his/her/its identity, another very very bad sign. In my opinion the clandestine nature of it all seems more like a means of dealing for that cannabis sativa "Panama Red" than structured settlements. At best the whole set up is just plain unprofessional. I don't know how such an advertiser gets away with it. If you have a securities or insurance license you typically must state your address, telephone number and means of contact. Stay away from www.settlementmoneynow.com !
