- A good way to see if you are talking to someone who can legitimately fill your needs is to check to see if the website you are looking at shows that the solictor is a member of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA). The majority of people who can help you set up a structured settlement are members of the NSSTA. A new initiative of the NSSTA is to have the NSSTA logo on each of its member's websites. Check for the logo Download g_nsstalogo.gif.
- Also check to see if the individual solictor is licensed to do insurance business in your state. Many state insurance departments have quick and convenient online searches which enable you to instantly verify if an agent or broker is licensed in your state.
- You can also check with the insurance companies that manufacture or issue structured settlement annuities to see if they have heard of the person that is advertising that they set up structured settlements, For list of companies that issue structured settlement annuities please click here.

Kirk, certainly your organization does not directly make that claim, yet the direct claims of some or the implied claims of others serve to confuse the consumer and divert business to both industries. I get calls from people who want to factor and I'm sure that the false advertisers who advertise "free structured settlement quote" get calls from people who want to set up a structured settlements. Eliminating that potential confusion is the purpose of the post.

Not all the companies on your list claim to set up structured settlements. My response can be found on the Factoring Channel.
